How the Epic Dragon wakes
The Epic Dragon has no schedule. Any player can wake it.
When you kill an ordinary monster on a hunting map, there is a 1 in 50,000,000 chance to find an
Epic Dragon Ball. Instead of dropping, the ball wakes the Epic Dragon on that spot. The whole server sees: "*Player* found an Epic Dragon Ball on map *M* at (*x*, *y*)... it is awakening the Epic Dragon!"
Hunting maps exclude Twin City, instances, arenas, PK-free maps, markets, guild and family maps, prisons, flag-war and horse-race maps, safe areas and no-drop maps. On those maps, and on bosses, the ball drops as a normal item instead. See Legendary gear for what the ball does.
The fight, step by step
1. Awakening (4 s). Red thunder, war drums, then the Epic Dragon appears.
2. Phase 1: Epic Dragon (60,000,000 HP). It fights until 30% HP and can't be killed before that.
3. Ice seal at 30%. The dragon freezes in ice, becomes immune and still, and calls 3 Dragon Sentinels 4 cells away. "The Epic Dragon seals itself in ice! Slay its guardians to break the seal!"
4. Unseal. When all 3 Sentinels die, the ice shatters and the dragon fights on.
5. Ascension. When the Epic Dragon dies, its fire does not die. After 4 s the Ascended Dragon (40,000,000 HP) rises on the same spot.
6. Phase 2: Ascended Dragon. Kill it to finish the event.
7. Time limit: 30 minutes. When time runs out, the dragon flies away and the ball still breaks among the fighters, ranked by damage.
If nobody deals any damage at all, the dragon vanishes and the Epic Dragon Ball goes back to the player who found it (by mail if they are offline).
The cataclysm
Every 45 s in phase 1 and every 30 s in phase 2, the dragon gathers a cataclysm. A warning ring appears 4 seconds before it lands. Every player within 6 cells of the dragon when it lands dies. Run.
The three forms
| Form | HP | Battle Power wall | Each hit takes (full rate) | Behaviour |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Epic Dragon | 60,000,000 | 250 | 20% of your max HP | Leaps 12 cells every 4 s; enrages at 50% HP (140% speed); flies; rains fire as it leaps |
| Dragon Sentinel (×3) | 3,000,000 each | 245 | 15% of your max HP | Pack fighter; leaps 8 cells every 6 s; 1 attack per second |
| Ascended Dragon | 40,000,000 | 250 | 30% of your max HP | Leaps 14 cells every 3 s; enrages at 40% HP (180% speed); flies; rains fire as it leaps |
How much of your HP a hit really takes depends on your Battle Power; see World bosses.

Rewards: 10 Epic Fragments
Each Epic Dragon Ball breaks into 10
Epic Fragment.
| Rule | Value |
|---|---|
| To players | 4 fragments, shared by damage among the top 4 damage dealers. Each gets 4 × their damage ÷ the top 4's total, rounded down; the top player gets any leftover. One player can win all 4. |
| To the Epic Market | The other 6, plus anything that couldn't be delivered. All 10 if nobody qualifies. |
| Damage that counts | Damage to the Sentinels counts. Damage to the sealed dragon does not. |
| Delivery | Dropped where the Ascended Dragon fell; only the winner can pick them up at first. With no room on the ground they go to your bag, then your mailbox. Offline winners get them by mail (kept 30 days). |
| Celebration | Each winner gets the Epic night, the screen shake and the Epic Dragon Ball banner, and the server hears "*Player* has obtained *N* Epic Fragment(s)!" |
| Participation | Everyone with at least 1% of the damage gets experience equal to 0.5% of their current level |
Example: the top 4 dealt 40%, 30%, 20% and 10% of their combined damage. Their shares are 1.6, 1.2, 0.8 and 0.4, rounded down to 1, 1, 0 and 0. The top player takes the 2 left over, so the result is 3, 1, 0, 0.
Fragments that go to the market are sold at the EpicMerchant, Twin City (297,304), for 10,000 CPs + 100,000,000 silver, 1 per character per day.
Tips
- A sealed Epic Dragon can't be hurt. Switch to the 3 Sentinels as soon as it freezes.
- Stay at least 7 cells away when the cataclysm ring appears.
- Pets and traps count for their owner on the damage board.
- Every hit takes a share of your max HP, so healers and big HP pools matter more than raw defense.
- To earn fragments you need a top-4 damage spot, not the last hit.
